Passed to your Page's inbox automation or chatbot so you can see which link was used.
Enter your Facebook Page username or ID.
How to create a Messenger link
Use your Page username — the same one in your facebook.com URL.
- 1
Enter your Page name
Type your Page username, numeric ID or paste the Page URL. We extract the identifier for you.
- 2
Add text and a ref tag
A starter message reduces blank chats. A ref tag lets chatbots and Meta tools see which campaign link a person tapped.
- 3
Use the link anywhere
Paste into ads, email buttons or your website, or print the QR code on receipts and window stickers.
Nothing you type is stored — the link is generated entirely in your browser.
Private by design
Everything runs in your browser. What you type is never uploaded or stored.
Instant & free
No signup, no watermark and no expiring links — the QR encodes your link directly.
Print-ready
Download the QR as PNG/SVG or print a styled card for tables, stickers and packaging.
Messenger link FAQ
What is an m.me link?
m.me is Meta's short link for Messenger. https://m.me/yourpage opens a conversation with that Page on mobile or in Messenger on the web.
What does the ref parameter do?
?ref= passes a custom string into the conversation so a chatbot or inbox automation can recognise where the person came from. It is not visible to the customer.
Where do I find my Page username?
Open your Page, go to Settings → Page setup (or About) and look for the username shown after facebook.com/. If you only have a numeric ID, that works in the link too.
Does this work for personal profiles?
It works for Pages and for people whose username allows messages. Pages are the intended use for businesses.
