Step-by-Step

How to create a Telegram link

Pick the type of link, fill in one or two fields, and copy the result.

  1. 1

    Choose what to link to

A username covers people, channels and groups. Choose bot to add a ?start= campaign code, or phone to link to a number.

  2. 2

Add a message or start code

For chats, write the text you want pre-filled. For bots, add a short code like ref123 so you can see which campaign sent each user.

  3. 3

Share the link or the QR

Drop the t.me link into your site, email or social bio — or download the QR for flyers and event badges.

Telegram links work in the mobile apps, desktop apps and Telegram Web.

Private by design

Everything runs in your browser. What you type is never uploaded or stored.

Instant & free

No signup, no watermark and no expiring links — the QR encodes your link directly.

Print-ready

Download the QR as PNG/SVG or print a styled card for tables, stickers and packaging.

Telegram link generator FAQ

What is the t.me link format?

Profiles, channels and groups use https://t.me/username. Bots can take a start parameter: https://t.me/botname?start=code, which the bot receives as /start code.

Does the pre-filled message always work?

The ?text= parameter is honoured by current Telegram mobile and desktop apps, but older versions may open the chat without the draft. The link always opens the right chat.

What can I use as a bot start parameter?

Up to 64 characters from A–Z, a–z, 0–9, underscore and hyphen. Anything else is not delivered to the bot, so this tool warns you.

Do I need a public username?

For username links, yes — set one in Telegram under Settings → Username. Without a username you can only link by phone number, and only if you allow that in your privacy settings.
